BROADCASTS
Some of the time spent working on this prototype was livestreamed.
If you liked this project or my livestreams, go subscribe/follow me on Twitch and YT. I stream on either platform twice a week and am usually doing gamedev or fullstack development practice.
GITHUB - THE CODE
You can review the code and assets manually if you so desire. Click here to go to the Github repository. This is especially important if you're worried about downloading executables from Itch.io, given the number of Discord hijacks and other such scams that have happened recently.
FYI, this was built in Godot 4.0.2. There's no guarantees this will open and run as expected in newer or older versions. YMMV.
INSTRUCTIONS
Unzip and double tap the .exe file. If you're concerned about safety, see the code repo as noted just above this section. You can review the .gdscript code used in this or even pop open the project yourself if you so desire.
If you have a really old copy of windows that's 32-bit, you won't be able to play this. Chances are you aren't part of the < 1% of the world that still runs old copies of Windows.
OTHER THOUGHTS
Haha the web version just required not using Godot 4 Mono. hahahahahaha please help me.

This is fun, but it seems like I have many more than six bullets?
Explained in the TIPS section on the page, but I didn't wind up including the visual effect that would explain it, my bad:
you get a bullet back for killing an enemy (including if you use an exploder to do it)
Thanks, I missed that!

Very fun and challenging game!
