A basic turn based tactics game prototype made in Pico-8. 

This game is incomplete and should be treated as such.  Leave bugs and suggestions in the Community forum!

Controls:

Arrow keys = move cursor / menu selectors
C = Confirm/Accept
X = Cancel

Extra Notes:

- X while no units are selected on your turn brings up a menu that lets you manually restart the game (named in notes/roadmap as "The Cancel Menu")
- "Defend" halves the damage taken to shields, but only functions when there are shields remaining.
- Damage exceeding the shield value is discarded when there is shield hp remaining.
- Shields recharge by 1/turn when not damaged.  (The grid isn't large enough to take advantage of this right now, though.)
